Suicide...
The Only Way Out ?
For many this tragic conclusion as being the
only answer to life must lead
to only one question, "Why".
The following list is the statistical
inquiries from only one of the Internet
search engines. Considering all the
available search tools on the Internet
and the percentage of people having access
or the courage to find help or
answers the actual numbers are staggering.
Imagine for a moment
someone you love being one of these
statistics.

Suicide, a dirty word no one wants to talk
about !
It still happens, in the US alone over
30,000 times a year and
approximately 765,000 attempts. Suicide does
not discriminate, it crosses
all ages, races, genders and socio-economic
groups.
Is Suicide A Spiritual Problem ?
It is virtually impossible to exist without
knowing someone who has
committed suicide. We all empathize with
anothers loss but when it hits
close to home we are staggered by the event.
The thing that boggles our
mind is Why. "They had everything to
live for." "That was nothing to
kill
themselves for." "I didn't know
they had a problem." There are no easy
answers just as there are no easy answers
for the person who chooses this course of
action.
There are many expert opinions describing
and defining all the reasons for
suicide. Hundreds of publications that
address virtually every aspect and
detail of the psychology involved. Within
these various books there are
many explanations, answers and solutions yet
no one has found a complete answer.
Generally there seems to be a lacking or
outright omission of the most crucial
element as the root cause, The Spiritual
Implication.
At the risk of antagonizing many experts I
will make one bold statement.
"With Absolute Spiritual Health There
Can Be No Suicide."
From a spiritual perspective there are many
factors to consider. In this reality it
takes a lot of effort and energy to even
exist in this physical form. The effort
required to perform all our daily work
requires a very substantial
amount of physical energy and mental
tasking. In most industrialized
societies today our lives are too work
oriented and our so-called leisure time is
usually too much like our work. During the
twentieth century we evolved into a
workaholic, materialistic, frenetic
cell-phone freeway rage-aholics looking for
instant gratification looking for answers in
Things. In brief, most
of us are burned out and overburdened, not
because we have to, just
because we think that we have to do or have
to have all these things.
People by nature may be many things, but,
one of the most wonderful
attributes of humans is that they are fun
loving creatures of joy and
pleasure. This is a crucial fact that we
have almost forgotten how to
experience joy and fullness. As a child we
were completely in joy and
amazement every moment, when we are in this
state the thought of checking out is the
farthest thing from our mind. The polar
opposite occurs when we are not sustaining
this joyful state and life becomes one of
opting for the possibility of leaving.
When things are going good everything is
wonderful, when they are not it is
almost certain we enter a spinning black
hole from which no light can be
seen. The fact that when we become
completely self focused the primary
reality becomes absolute darkness, the ego
self turns inward with no
concept of any other external reality or
reason.
For all those who discover the secret of
just "Waiting" the results are
miraculous. No matter how desperate or
hopeless a situation anyone
encounters there is something that will
change and something will come
about that will make this precious life
worth living. For all who find someone in
need remember just one thing, just
"Listen".
If you care about anyone, suicide awareness,
knowledge and Help is
available from many sources, most of which
is free, it may save someone
you love.
